What is Chondroitin Sulfate?
Chondroitin Sulfate is a type of glycosaminoglycan that is covalently linked to proteins to form proteoglycans. Chondroitin sulfate is widely distributed in the extracellular matrix and cell surface of animal tissues. It is a white or off-white powder; it has hygroscopic properties. Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate is easily soluble in water, insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, and ether. Chondroitin sulfate aqueous solution is unstable when exposed to higher temperatures or acids.
Application:
1) Inhibition of endogenous human tyrosinase activity in mushrooms.
