Sodium lauroyl glutamate is an amino acid type surfactant synthesized by plant-derived lauric acid and sodium glutamate obtained from corn fermentation through acylation and neutralization reactions.

Sodium cocoyl glutamate is a white powdery amino acid surfactant formed by condensation of natural source fatty acids and glutamate amino acid salt. In the formulation, it can be used alone as the main surfactant, or in combination with soap base as an auxiliary surfactant.
