Ethyl Ascorbic Acid of Insen is a lipophilic derivative of a water-soluble vitamin C, not only in the formulation to be very convenient to use and more easily penetrate it into the dermal layer of the stratum corneum, into the skin easily decomposed by enzymes play a role of vitamin C, thereby increasing its bioavailability, and ordinary vitamin C is difficult to be absorbed through skin, bioavailability is very low. Moreover, Insen Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is relatively common in vitamin C also show high stability.

The active substance is an ascorbic acid derivative and is metabolized to vitamin C after penetration into the skin. Ethyl Ascorbic Acid also repairs and protects against skin damage from sun rays.

Why do we use ethyl ascorbic acid?

As it is soluble in both water and oil, 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid is easily incorporated into a wide range of cosmetic formulations. Its efficacy is enhanced by its rapid absorption into the skin, which helps to yield the best results. At the recommended pH (of between 4 and 6), 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid is stable against oxidation and resistant against discolouration. This reduces the possibility of skin irritation caused by oils in other products which may oxidise due to exposure to high temperature or UV radiation.

Application: 

1. Brightness

Ethyl ascorbic acid helps the skin fade away dark spots or hyperpigmentation from aging and the sun. It stops the activity of tyrosinase that, in turn,reduces the availability of melanin, which ultimately results in less pigmentation on the skin. Ethyl ascorbic acid acts as an antioxidant. It helps the skin fight radicals that build up toxin levels in the body.
