Minoxidil, chemically named 6- (1-piperidyl) -2,4-pyrimidine diamine, 3-oxide, is a white or white crystalline Powder.Slightly dissolved in ethanol, microdissolved in trichloromethane or water, extremely slightly dissolved in acetone; dissolved in glacic acetic acid.Clinically, as a potassium channel opening agent, it can directly relax the vascular smooth muscle, and has a strong arteriolar expansion effect, which makes the peripheral resistance and blood pressure decline, but has no effect on the volume of blood vessels, so it can promote venous reflux.At the same time, due to the reflex regulation and positive frequency effect, the cardiac output and heart rate can increase, but do not cause postural hypotension.
How is Minoxidil powder Work?
Minoxidil is a potassium channel opener. Its vasodilation action expands the blood vessels to promote blood flow, thereby decreasing blood pressure to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Minoxidil is divided into two kinds, one is 2% concentration and the other is 5% concentration. What’s the difference and how to choose?
