Coco Caprylate/Caprate (GTCC) is a classic mild synthetic ester refined from coconut-derived medium-chain fatty acids and glycerol. It is one of the most widely used base emollients in global cosmetic formulas.

It has ultra-light texture, excellent spreading property and low greasy feeling, with outstanding skin affinity. It can quickly penetrate the epidermal layer without forming heavy sticky film on skin surface. Featuring stable chemical property, low irritation and excellent compatibility with most cosmetic active ingredients, it is the universal base oil preferred by cosmetic manufacturers for all kinds of skincare and personal care products.

Formulation Operation Guidelines

1. Add directly into the oil phase at normal temperature or heating below 80℃; no special high-temperature treatment required;
2. Excellent compatibility with rice bran wax, shea butter, squalane, vitamin derivatives, soothing actives and most cosmetic waxes;
3. Can be matched with a small amount of antioxidant vitamin E to further prevent long-term storage oxidation;
4. Cannot be directly added to water-phase formulas; emulsifier system is required for O/W or W/O emulsified systems.
