Sodium Deoxycholate: what it is
Sodium Deoxycholate (CAS 302-95-4) is the sodium salt of a bile acid. It appears as white to off-white powder and is freely soluble in water, giving a clear to slightly opalescent solution. In formulation work it behaves as a natural surfactant: it aggregates into micelles and helps solubilise oils, fats and lipophilic actives.
