Kojic acid dipalmitate is a lipid-soluble derivative modified from kojic acid. It solves the defects of unstable kojic acid which is easy to oxidize and discolor in water-based formulas. It has excellent lipophilicity, can penetrate the stratum corneum stably and slowly release kojic acid ingredients, featuring mild irritation, stable performance and remarkable skin brightening effect. Formulation Operation Guidelines
- Adding method: Dissolve in oil phase at 60~80℃ during oil phase preparation; avoid high temperature above 90℃ for a long time;
- Suggested matching: Compound with vitamin E, vitamin C derivatives to strengthen anti-oxidation and synergistic brightening effect;
- Avoid long-term strong alkaline environment to prevent structural decomposition and activity reduction;
- It is recommended to add a small amount of antioxidant tocopherol to the formula to further prolong the service life of the active ingredient.
